Seattle I Cyber Security: Lessons from the Premera Attack
Directors know they are responsible for understanding their organization’s cyber risks and for overseeing their organization’s cybersecurity strategy, approach, program, execution, and results. Yet surveys show that directors are not very satisfied or confident in their work.
NACD has published the Director’s Handbook for Cyber-Risk Oversight—a go-to document for board members. And soon, the NACD NW chapter will breathe life into the work suggested in the handbook by navigating a real-life case. Our distinguished panelists will distill the most critical lessons from the Premera cyberattack and, in that way, help inform directors in the audience before a similar crisis hits one of their organizations.
Please join us on March 1, 2018, to hear from our expert panelists: Kathy Munro, Premera board chair; Kitti Cramer, chief legal & risk officer of Premera; and Andreas Kaltsounis, partner in the Privacy and Data Security practice at Baker & Hostetler LLP, a firm that advises Premera.
