Sharon L. AllenSharon L. Allen served as Deloitte LLP’s Executive Chairman from 2003-2011. Sharon spent her entire 38-year career with Deloitte, where she provided her audit and consulting experience to a number of major multinational clients. She began her career in Boise, Idaho, where she eventually became office managing partner — Deloitte’s first woman in that role. In 1994 she became the first woman ever elected to Deloitte’s board. She also served as regional managing partner for the Pacific Southwest practice based in Los Angeles, which at that time was Deloitte’s second-largest region. Allen made history in 2003 through her election as Deloitte LLP’s first executive chairman — becoming the first woman ever to serve as chairman of a large, private U.S. professional services organization. She also served on Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited’s global board and governance committee. Sharon retired from Deloitte in 2011. In August, 2012 she was appointed to the board of Bank of America and assumed the role as chairman of the Audit Committee in the spring of 2013. She is also on the boards of First Solar and Albertsons Companies Inc. She is Past-Chairman of the National Board of the YMCA. Sharon appeared on Forbes’ list of “The 100 Most Powerful Women in the World” and Directorship’s “100 Most Influential People in Corporate Governance” for four consecutive years.
