Mr. Miller will visit candidly with moderator Skip Oppenheimer, Chairman & CEO, Oppenheimer Companies, Inc. on a wide range of topics during this hour-long fireside chat.

Bob Miller

Bob Miller currently serves as the Chairman & CEO of AB Acquisition LLC (“Albertsons”), a North American food and drug retail company comprised of over 2,200 stores operating under 18 well-known banners in 33 states and Washington DC. Miller began his career at Albertson’s Inc., and over 30 years worked his way up from Store Manager to Executive Vice President of Retail Operations. He left to join Fred Meyer where he served as Chairman and CEO from 1991 – 1999, culminating in their merger with the Kroger Company, where he was appointed Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer following the transaction close. In December 1999, Miller was hired as Chairman and CEO of Rite Aid Corporation, the country’s third largest drugstore chain, where over the next three and a half years he led the successful turnaround of the nearly-bankrupt company. He continued to serve as Chairman of Rite Aid until June 2007 and a Director until 2011. Concurrently, Miller was Chairman of the Board of Wild Oats Markets based in Boulder, Colorado from December 2004 through 2006. In 2006, Miller returned to lead Albertson’s LLC as CEO following the divestiture of Albertson’s, Inc.’s assets. In 2013, the Company acquired 877 stores from SUPERVALU, and later that year, added 51 stores from Lubbock-based United Supermarkets. In March 2014, AB Acquisition, backed by a Cerberus-led investor group, announced it would acquire all outstanding shares of Safeway. This acquisition, which was completed in January 2015, created a diversified network that includes more than 2,200 stores, 30 dedicated distribution facilities, 21 manufacturing assets, and approximately 265,000 employees across the country. Miller currently serves on the Board of Directors of Albertson’s LLC, Nordstrom, Inc., and Jim Pattison Group.

Arthur F. (Skip) Oppenheimer

Skip Oppenheimer is currently Chairman/CEO of Oppenheimer Companies, Inc., and President of Oppenheimer Development Corporation and Chairman of several affiliated corporations. Oppenheimer Companies, Inc. is a national food processing, sales, marketing and distribution organization. Oppenheimer Development Corporation is a commercial real estate development and property management company. Current civic and board activities include: • Chair St. Lukes Health System Board (2014- ); $1.4 billion in revenues with 13,000 employees. • Director of the Federal Reserve Bank San Francisco (Salt Lake Branch) (2016-2019). • Member of Boy Scouts of America National Executive Board (2009- ); National VP/HR and Executive Committee (2015- ); Member, Boy Scouts of America, National Nominating Committee (2012-2014). • Board Member, University of Washington Medicine Board of Directors (2014- ); Member of Executive Committee (2015- ); Chairman, Strategy Committee (2015- ). • Board of Advisors (2001- ); Chairman, Board of Directors (1993-1994); Chairman, Chamber PAC (1997-2000); Board of Directors (1992-1996); Boise Metro Area Chamber of Commerce. • Board of Directors, Clear Springs Foods (1998- ). • Member, President’s Special Advisors Group – University of Idaho (2010- ). • Board Member (Founding Chair), Idaho Business Coalition for Education Excellence (2003- ). Membership includes 115 CEO’s and Senior Executives from major Idaho Corporations and includes mid-sized and smaller corporations.
